City Meeting
I had the opportunity to meet with the city today. Unfortunately I was told, once again , that my vision doesn't conform to the TNZD zoning. Interestingly I made contact with a former Transylvania University alum. Who put me in touch with the person who began I.D.E.A.S. 40203.
While it continues to look unfavorable for my venture, I find strength in the fact that others are supporting it. I won't give up yet.

The First Big Meeting
Since I was able to grab the mayor's ear via twitter around 2 weeks ago, I am no sitting in a position to actually meet with city officials regarding my plans. If you have actualy read this blog you understand that my plans are small, simple, and unlikely to yield big dollars. It is more about delivering something to the area that I genuinely love but seems to lack in so many areas. (You never hear anyone say, "Lets hit up Old Louisville tonight!") The reason is simple. There is very little to do around here period. And the attractions after 5 seem to be a simple case of wash, rinse, repeat. Don't get me wrong. I like those places. But there is little diversity between the spaces. And NONE of them will deliver what I propose to deliver. So tonight I try to get my game face on for a meeting with the City. I really don't know what to expect and my gut is that if they cannot feed off the passion I display in my presentation, It will all be for not anyway. Let's hope that Louisville truly is the "Possibility City."

Continued Development of the Gallery
I have had a tremendous amount of interest in the idea of the Beer Gallery. Essentially this is a space where you come in for a top notch craft beer and can also take in the work of local artists. While I have been hoping to create a space where a live studio could be on display for the residents of Old Louisville to stroll by, the logistics of it are a bit more difficult. That being said, I am forging ahead with the space in hopes that at the very least I can create a very intriguing venue for small, local artists to display their art.
This picture was taken from the outside blinds. I wanted to show the height and windows that shower the space with light.
This is a picture from the back right corner. Again I wanted to show how the front has ample light and a lot of visibility from the street.
